*** San Francisco show canceled tonight ***
We’re very sorry but we have had to pull out of tonight’s performance at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco.
We are absolutely mortified to have to let you all down but Thomas is unable to sing tonight due to the effects of a viral illness he has contracted. We’re extremely concerned about those of you that bought advance tickets and we will find a way to make sure you can either be refunded or have them swapped for our next SF date in September, which will be announced soon. Please contact your point of purchase for details.
Again, we’re very sorry but there is unfortunately no way for Thomas to do the show and we’d like to thanks you in advance for your understanding.
June 29th update
We’re still working out the details of how to sort out those of you that bought tickets in advance for the show. Since it was a Festival rather than our own headline show it makes it a little more complicated. We can assure you however that we promise to honour all advance tickets by either swapping them or refunding. Please give us a little time and well let you know ASAP. Thanks for your patience.

I’m in the same boat. I still have my unused Spectrum ticket, where do I go/who do I contact to swap it for a Warfield ticket?
So, I still have my spectrum tickets. Is there going to be a swap for the warfield show?
September 17th @ The Warfield. Woot!
How will the Spectrum ticket discount work. I used my ticket for Spectrum Fest, but was told that I can get a discount on the next San Francisco Phoenix show.
Tickets are on sale this Sunday (July 26th).
Keep us posted
Come Back to San Francisco!!!!
So are you coming back to the Bay Area at all? I don’t care about the refund, just want to see you play.
Thanks, TJ .. I called the # you provided just now, and received a full refund back, minus some service fee. It is all about whether you used the tickets or now, I’m guessing, as I didn’t go after I heard the news and thus tickets were ok for refund.
Appreciate the headsup.
И я с этим столкнулся. Давайте обсудим этот вопрос. Здесь или в PM.
I called TM last night around 8:30, spoke to a nice rep (Steve), and got a full refund. He indicated that while the “show” itself wasn’t canceled, we were entitled to a refund since we didn’t go to the show and didn’t use the tickets. Hopefully you’re in this camp too! This is the number I called which is their national customer service number (non-sales): (800)653-8000.
Thursday afternoon I drove my girlfriend from LA to San Francisco to see you guys at the Spectrum Fest and then Michael Jackson dies!!next, the show is CANCELED!!
Man was I bummed..
Still love your music, all is forgiven.
Stay Healthy
I just received an email stating Ticketmaster was not going to refund the two tickets I purchased. I will try calling tomorrow. If anyone else has a problem with Ticketmaster not refunding money, then keep checking this board. I was assured by one of the promoters before the show that we would get a refund if we wanted one. The fact that some people received refunds and others didn’t is ridiculous. We should all be refunded for a show we didn’t go to. Stay tuned.
Those of you having trouble with Ticketmaster, keep calling. It took three calls, but they have refunded my tickets. Let them know that you know other people have already been given refunds to this show and be insistent!
i spent $100 on two tickets to the saturday night show and ticketmaster refuses to refund my money, saying they know nothing about this and the fact that many people have already received their money back. i am a long-time phoenix fan but extremely disappointed at the situation. what is the deal here?
So sad to miss Phoenix. Even more sad that I bought tickets from Aquarius to save on Ticketmaster fees, and then realized that they gave me tickets to FRIDAY even though I asked for Saturday. My bad for not looking more closely. But…if people are having trouble getting refunds/replacements for Saturday night tickets, I think I’m out of luck (and $111.00). Ouch.
I got my tickets refunded by ticketmaster. It only took one call and I promptly used that refund to buy tickets to the Greek Theatre in Sept. I will most defintely be buying more tickets when Phoenix comes back to San Francisco. I absolutely LOVED the LA show!! It was my first time seeing them and I will every time they come to California!!
LOVE YA PHOENIX, YOU WERE AWESOME!!
Please please please come to Oregon
<3333
Thomas, please, drink more lemonade with honey when on tour.
I have tickets for Le Zenith in October. I want you fine tuned as a holy whistle for that date, you understand?
Missed you
The rest of the festival was great but the only reason I bought ticket was to see you guys!! Feel better and please keep posted about the ticket situation, really hope to see you guys in September!!
I just got off the phone with Ticketmaster. I did get my tickets refunded for Saturday, but this was my second call. My refund will go directly to tickets to the next show. Get well soon Thomas.
At the event they told everyone to hold on to their ticket and that it will be a voucher for Phoenix’s next show, regardless if you attended the show or not. Not sure what they meant by Voucher and they didn’t give any further details. I hope they weren’t just bullshitting everyone to avoid dealing with the situation.
They would not offer a refund and I didn’t want to risk not getting a refund in the future, so I attended the show. Plus I wanted to see Boys Noize, who put on an awesome 2 and half hour set. Without Phoenix, the night wasn’t worth $50.
I understand these things happen. It’s a shame that San Francisco missed out on Phoenix. I can see how between this show and the LA show, the LA show was more important career-wise, with all the industry folk in attendance. So canceling a show and resting up a day to put on an amazing show in LA makes sense. And from everything I’ve heard, the LA show was amazing.
I look forward to seeing you guys in September. Get well.
Im a bit disappointed, cus Phoenix was the only band that i wanted to see at an unheard-of spectrum festival. Coincidentally we checked their website hours before the show and saw that they were cancelled. So, we called TicketBastards, and they said do not attend the show and to call back Mon for a refund, so they can verify that our tickets were not used.
I called today and initially they said they were not issuing refunds (arrgghh!!), but after talking to a supervisor, they said that some people got refunds, so they are contacting the promoter, and said we will get refunds.
For all those thinking you may NOT get a refund, CALL TICKETMASTER (800-745-3000) again this week. You should get a refund as long as you didnt attend the festival.
Bummed that we didnt get to see Phoenix, but we should not be paying for it!
(323) 930-5700 is the number to goldenvoice (the promoters). called and told me to email amanda@goldenvoice.com for whats going on.
Good luck on the rest of your 6-month tour! Looking forward to info on a future San Francisco date or refund. -thanks
Really disappointed that Phoenix couldn’t make the show, but all in all, I think September’s show will prove to be a better feature for Phoenix, in a better venue, since the Spectrum thing was loaded down with a bunch of bad local DJs. I bought tix in person at the Warfield and got a full refund on Sunday at the box office, no problem.
Hope Thomas feels better. Devastated about the cancellation and decided not attend the Spectrum Festival as Phoenix was the only reason I wanted to go! Last time I got to see Phoenix was in Washington DC at the 9:30 Club (years ago). Awesome show, and was looking forward to this show so much.
I hope to get a refund or trade in for a September show. I’ll try ticketmaster over and over again.
Please come back to SF Phoenix!
SpectrumFest people lied to all of us. Freakin BAS.TARDS are thieves, just wanted us to leave so they could keep our money! Spectrumfest manager: “CALL ticketmaster, they take care of the refunds.” Ticketmaster: “Promoter hasn’t told us refunds are acceptable.” I’m guessing we’ll NEVER see our money again. I wonder if phoenix was ever even gonna show up. They prob just said they would so people would actually buy tickets, and then rob them either way if they actually stayed to watch the other horrid bands or if they chose to go home. I don’t know if I can forgive Phoenix as much as I love their music. Illness happens to all of us, but it doesn’t mean we should pay for it. My friends and I lost of boatload of our hard earned cash. As for spectrumfest, I hope not a single person goes to any of their concerts again, horrible people if they don’t do the right thing, which I’m pretty certain they won’t. Regency center must have cost alot for them to use and they can’t possibly lose any of their own money so it comes at our own expense. I am sooooo MAD!!!!
ugh! hope the singer gets better.
So sad about cancellation. I spent 100.00 for nothing. I was told there would be a refund when I showed up at The Regency but then told by ticketmaster no refunds. So very disappointing.
same thing. showed up, told no band. That ticket master was aware & wouldn’t be a problem. Called ticketmaster and they oh course said the show or group didn’t cancel so NO REFUND. $94.00 after fee’s for two tickets soooooooooo loooooooooong.
I’ve been trying to reach ticketmaster, and I can’t get through! Can I get a refund?
oh, do get better!
virtual flu medicine/dark chocolate your way. recharge revive. [+ -]
Could someone post a number to call for a refund? Thanks! Get well, Thomas!
Every time I call ticketmaster, when they transfer me to a representative, it disconnects me. Which number is everyone using? I tried 800-653-8000….
I just spoke to an agent named Jacob at Ticketmaster who said to call back tomorrow (when they can verify the ticket has not been used) and ask for a refund. I’ve had poor luck getting refunds from TM in the past so we shall see…
nippy nippy!
Boo! I hope you feel better soon! Please keep us posted on the Sept date and the ticket exchange/refund. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise, now we wont have to deal with all those ravers at the Phoenix show in Sept.
finally!! a success story against the evil ticketmaster empire. still on hold with ticketmaster……
I just called Tickmaster again, this time they “called the boxoffice” whetever that means, and I was on hold for 25 minutes. But in the end they issued me a refund in full, minus a $5 fee. So I would keep calling if you can’t get a refund. I wouldn’t be surprised if Goldenvoice is trying their best to limit refunds.
Please let us know about the refund/ticket swap situation, Goldenvoice has been so uninformative & unhelpful throughout since the day the shows went on sale. The only reason for myself and a group of longtime fans were even going to this, crappily-promoted festival, was to see Phoenix.
Ticketmaster refuses to give refund, as they say the lineup was subject to change. I have never even heard of the other bands but totaly wanted to see Phoenix. Please advise on who to call to get refund.
What about tomorrow’s show in LA? Is that going to be cancelled too???? I traveled 5 or 6 hours to get here!
I hope to see you guys tomorrow night at the Wiltern, any chance on not making that show either??
So I just called Ticketmaster and they refuse to give me a refund. I paid 50 bucks to go see Phoenix! (Although I’m sure the other bands are great…) Would you mind trying to figure out the refund/ticket swap situation ASAP so I know whether or not to save my Spectrum ticket?
utter sadness. i’ve been looking forward to this for 2 years. get well soon.
So bummed
Hope Thomas gets well! Please do let us know how to get a refund or how to go about getting it swapped. Just tried calling Ticketmaster and they had no info about getting it refunded.
That’s a real shame. Get well soon, Thomas.
